Sometimes the night does not go as you plan. As an adult and as a child. One night I wake up and hear more than a bump. Which gets me thinking about the night I knocked on my dad’s door and told him I had a surprise for him.
Happy Father’s Day to all you dads!

Love the ‘surprise’! Poor Dad. Glad you saved your carpet. Lol
Theresa Boedeker says
Definitely, poor dad! Yes, the hall would look a little odd with a large square cut out. 🙂 LOL

This story says a lot of nice things about the author’s father and is most revealing of his character. It also pokes fun at her husband gently. I laughed out loud at both men and their attitudes. The author manages to reveal that they are both very good people and allow us to laugh at their foibles at the same time. Very much enjoyed!
Theresa Boedeker says
Yes, two good men. Both blessings. Glad you enjoyed the story, Colleen. There is something freeing, I think, when we can laugh at our foibles. Blessings, sweet sister.

I have come to realize that if I can’t/won’t laugh at myself – there is only one other option & I don’t like crying! LOL!
Theresa Boedeker says
So with you, Sherry. It does seem the option is often either laughing or crying. And I know which one makes me feel better, releases tension, and help me see a different perspective. Laughter. And it also is easy for others to join in with you.
