Life as it Comes #19 | Finding Embarrassment at the Dollar General

Finding Embarrassment at the Dollar General

A humerous podcast about life. When my son and I undertake a last minute search for Noise Putty at the Dollar General, embarrassment ensues. I also learn maybe this is not the gift mother’s want sent home with their son after a birthday party. Who knew?

If you want a visual demonstration of Noise Putty watch this video.

If you can’t find Noise Putty at Dollar General, it is also sold at Amazon, Walgreens, and Walmart.

  1. Wow, Tthe noise putty is almost as good as the burp button I got my friend for Christmas, Thanks for the podcast and keep up the good work

  2. Very funny! I love noise putty myself. I’ve had to buy some from Amazon, but for more than $1. Thank you for the laugh. Good reminder to let others find harmless joy we might not understand.

    • Ashley, I need that reminder too of letting others find harmless joy in something we might not understand. Sometimes I am so focused on getting things done and getting out the door on time, that I miss some of those moments. But when I pause and let it happen and even join in, the day and mood is so refreshed.

  3. Cricket, Frog in my pocket, motor boat, just a few I have heard it called. Of course being a Girl, we don’t ever…. Just like we don’t sweat, we just get dewy (dew on us.) Ha Ha. My son and husband have never outgrown the Noise Putty either. Need to introduce it to my new friends……hmmmm, do you think they will like it? Great podcast!

  4. Now I want both a burp button AND noise putty. All the male computer techs work next to me. They would LOVE them. Great podcast. Thanks to this writer for what to bring to the office Christmas party this year!

  5. Theresa, this is the first of your podcasts that I have listened to and I enjoyed it immensely. I have three sons and a husband so I can relate to the joy of noise putty! And, let’s be honest, the girls would love it also. 🙂 Thanks for the fun story.

    • Thanks, Lynnette. Glad you enjoyed the podcast. And yes, girls do like noise putty, except sometimes it is hard to get the boys to give you a turn. LOL My daughter, in third grade, got a container at the mall. She opened it and started discretely following different groups of people. Oh you should have seen their faces and looks at each other when she started making sounds. She was so cute and sweet and hid the container so no one suspected her. But she got some mothers to stop and check their baby’s diapers. My husband and I were sitting on a bench watching her and laughing so hard.
